Rye is another one of Coloradoÿs mountain communities located 35 miles south of the Pueblo area and 15 miles southwest of Colorado City off of State Highway 165. The communityÿs population is approximately 203 with average temperatures ranging from 32-72 degrees Fahrenheit annually and has approximately 2 to 7 inches of snowfall during the winter months. The area is located near San Isabel Lake, further into the Wet Mountains. The schools include Rye Elementary and Rye High School. Rye is also a close-knit community where you can get away from the city life.
